1. Collection of Personally Identifiable Information.
In order to use certain present and planned services provided on the Site, such as our customized sales and events, weekly e-mail newsletters (collectively the "Site Services"), or participate in some contests or promotions, you will be required to register with the hotel web site. In order to register, you must provide certain personally identifiable information, such as your name, address and email address, as well as other nonessential data such as your sex, marital status and number of children, on a page that will request such information ("Registration Profile Page"). If you are unwilling to disclose this information in connection with your registration, you will still be able to access those portions of the Site available to non-registered users of the Site, but you will not have access to the Site Services mentioned above, or be able to participate in some contests or promotions.

Crown American Hotels is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share or rent this information to unassociated third-parties in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement.

2. Traffic Data.
When you visit the site, our server may place small temporary text files called "cookies" on your computer's processor or in the browser directory of your hard drive. These cookies may contain a unique identifier that enables us to personalize your visit to the Site and create a better experience for you. For example, when you access the Site, a cookie will enable us to provide you with information on specific hotel locations. You may choose not to accept cookies by setting your web browser to either refuse all cookies or to notify you each time before a cookie is set. If you choose to refuse cookies, however, you may not be able to use all the features of the Site, including but not limited to the Site Services, contests, and promotions.

During your visit to the Site, we may also gather certain anonymous, non-personally identifiable information, such as your zip code, age group, gender, consumer preferences, and the like. Such information is used to gain a better understanding of usage trends. We will NOT provide it to unrelated third parties for any purpose. We use your Internet Protocol ("IP") address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer the Site. We use IP addresses to gather non-personally identifiable demographic information, such as how many users visited a certain part of the Site, but not to track a specific IP address or the identity of an individual user.

3. Use of Personally Identifiable Information; Opting Out.
We use the personally identifiable information that you provide on your Registration Profile Page to provide you (by email or regular mail) with information on special offers, promotions, or notices, and for any other lawful purpose, except as limited by this policy. We do not, however, share personally identifiable information with third parties without your consent, unless for some reason it becomes necessary to do so to comply with applicable laws or to enforce the Terms of Use. If you have indicated on your Registration Profile Page that you are interested in receiving information on specific hotels, special offers and promotions, we may send you such information by email or regular mail.

Even after you have become a registered user, you may later choose not to receive such information from us by logging onto the Site, accessing your Registration Profile Page, and selecting the remove profile icon or by sending an email to the HotelWebmaster. Once we have received your request to remove your profile/registration, an email confirming that you have been removed from the data base will be sent to you ("Opting Out"). If you Opt Out, you will no longer receive such special offers and information from us, and will not be able to use the Site Services or participate in some contests or promotions. This Privacy Policy does not, however, apply to other Internet web sites that are not under our control ("Third-Party Web sites"), or to other third parties; you should contact such entities directly regarding their use of your information.

4. Protection of Personally Identifiable Information.
We do NOT make available to the general public or any unassociated third party any personally identifiable information you provide to us in connection with your registration on the Site. The personal information you provide to us on your Registration Profile Page is password-protected, and is only accessible with the user name and password you indicated on your Registration Profile Page when you registered. Accordingly, you should not supply or allow access to your password to anyone who is not authorized to access your personally identifiable information. Notwithstanding the foregoing, and unless otherwise noted herein (e.g., gift certificate or payment information), the transmission of personally identifiable information between you and the Site is not encrypted. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information transmitted to, from, or over the Site, and you do so at your own risk.

5. Access to Your Personally Identifiable Information; Your Ability to Correct.
You may access your personal information by logging onto the Site and accessing your Registration Profile Page. You will need your login ID and your password to access your Registration Profile Page. Once you have accessed your Registration Profile Page, you may then choose to correct or modify your information by selecting the edit feature on the Registration Profile Page and making the appropriate corrections/modifications following the instructions that appear on your Registration Profile Page. You may also choose to delete your personally identifiable information form the Site by logging onto the Site, accessing your Registration Profile Page, and selecting the "remove profile" icon.

6. Gift Certificate Orders.
On this web site you will have the ability to purchase hotel-wide gift certificates. When using this function, we request information from the user on our order form. Here a user must provide contact information (such as name and shipping address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill customer's orders. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to contact the user.  See security information below.

7. Security Information.
When users submit sensitive information such as credit card information to order gift certificates via the web site, your information is protected both online and off-line. When our registration/order form asks users to enter sensitive information, that information is encrypted and is protected with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption, an advanced encryption technology that protects the information you send us against unauthorized access. This safeguard has helped to make shopping on the Internet significantly safer than using your credit card at a restaurant or department store. While on a secure page, such as our Gift Certificate order form, notice that the lock icon on the bottom of the web browsers becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open. This indicates that you are on a secure page.

While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also take measures to protect user information off-line. All of our users' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. Our employees must enter a password-protected area when gaining access to this information. All employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices and are reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure that our customers' information is protected.

The Site provides links to Third-Party web sites that are not under our control. If you click on a link for more information about a product/ service offered by one of these Third-Party web sites, a new browser window will open, and you will be transported to one of these Third-Party web sites and away form this Site.
